My Simple Car Game: A Fun Project in Progress!
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m excited to share something I’ve been working on recently—a simple car game I’m building from scratch! While it’s still a work in progress, I thought it would be fun to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what I’ve made so far and where it’s headed.
🎮 What is the Game About?
The concept is straightforward: you control a car that needs to navigate through obstacles, avoid crashing, and possibly collect points or fuel as you go. It’s the kind of game that’s easy to pick up but gets challenging the longer you play!
Right now, the basic mechanics are in place:
✅ Car movement using keyboard controls
✅ Road with moving lanes or background
✅ Basic obstacle generation
But there’s still a lot I want to add…
🔧 Features Coming Soon
Here’s a sneak peek at what I’m planning to add:
🚧 More types of obstacles (e.g., other cars, roadblocks)
💥 Crash effects and game over screen
⛽ Score and fuel system
🎵 Background music and sound effects
🏁 Levels or increasing difficulty over time
I’m also thinking of including some fun power-ups to spice things up—maybe a speed boost or a shield?
🛠️ Tools and Technologies Used
For those curious about the technical side:
Language: C#
Canvas: For drawing the game elements
Event Listeners: For car controls
Simple logic loops for obstacle movement and collision detection
I’ve learned a ton just by experimenting and breaking things along the way!
🚀 What’s Next?
My goal is to polish the game into something that people can play right in their browser, share with friends, and maybe even compete for high scores.
I’ll be posting updates as I add new features, so stay tuned! And if you have ideas for what you’d like to see in the game—let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading and being part of this journey. Game dev is a blast, and sharing it with you makes it even better!
